What this service is

The Shali Special is a GPA-tracking and school-planning web app made for Shalhevet High School students. The companion Chrome extension lets a student sync their own Schoology grades into their own account on this site.

What data we handle

• Account info: if you sign in, your email address and sign-in identity, handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Academic data you provide or sync: your courses, grades, credits, assignments, due dates, activities, and related tracker data — entered by you, imported from a transcript you upload, or synced by the extension from Schoology pages you are signed into.

What the extension does

• It reads grade information (courses, categories, assignments, scores, due dates) only from schoology.com pages you yourself open while signed in.
• It transfers that data only to theshalispecial.org, where it appears in your own tracker.
• It stores a local copy in your browser's extension storage so the site can receive it.
• It never reads your password, never acts on Schoology on your behalf, and has no access to any site other than schoology.com and theshalispecial.org.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or analytics profiling.
• We do not collect data unrelated to the app's single purpose (tracking your own academics).

Where data is stored

Signed-in users' data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under their own account so it syncs across their devices. Guest-mode data stays only in the local browser. You can delete your data at any time with the "Clear All Data" control in the app.
